In current times awareness of the need to better care for our environment is like never before. Children are being taught in school the importance of issues such as recycling, water and energy conservation, and the effects of various pollutants to the environment. Years ago, the only message which rang in the heads of children was “Give a Hoot, Don’t Pollute”. This statement was one more focused on how clean and good your neighborhood looked rather than the environmental effects of pollution. Now children are racing home to educate their parents on a much more profound level. Children are demanding that we do something about the imminently catastrophic situation of the planet we inhabit!
Even the channels children watch today are pumping the need to take action and save our planet. The commercials on kids channels are calling for children to do and be better than prior generations and implanting in them the importance of following through. Simultaneously, these channels are offering several practices children can adopt and request in their homes to help. The new generations will be so much better than previous ones with care of the Earth. This is ingenious! Get them while their young and ingrain these ideas and practices in them and they will pass it down to their children and their grandchildren some day; until ultimately we have a globally conscious world of people caring for this planet better then ever before. I love it!
However, what do we do about those of us who were not raised in these ideas? Those of us who are not environmentally conscious? Those of us who are wasteful, who do not recycle, who do not buy wisely, who are not aware of conservation in any way, who do not understand how what we eat effects the earth as well? Many people are set in their ways and refuse to see that change is needed. Many believe that the way we have lived thus far is fine and that it has been working for all these years. The only problem with this sentiment is that it hasn’t been working! We need to realize the err of our ways and make a decision to change now!
Knowledge is power always. We should become educated on the condition of our planet and on what we can do to repair it. No implementation of habit change is easy but it is definitely possible and absolutely mandatory! There are so many practices we can put into action into our lives immediately. We must understand the need to do so and do it. The first step is to learn the condition of the planet and why it is so. This will no doubt create the desire in you to change. The next step is for you to find out how to change and to create a realistic plan to do so. The final step is to follow through with your plan.
For a small starter list of things you can do to help our planet, read “20 Simple Ways To Live Greener”. This article only offers 20 things you can do, but it is absolutely a good start. Major companies are catching on and making changes, you should too.

Dust Control May Possibly Be Contributing To Global Warming
January 18, 2010 by Go Green Tips · Leave a Comment
As we humans go into another decade we are faced with the subject of how to restrain worldwide warming. We must evaluate all aspects of global warming and decide what we can do to help stop the change. Not to long ago I overheard an important person that I well respect talking about the need for dust control in addition to talked about elevated fugitive dust that people are creating. So I decided to study this possibility from a historical viewpoint.
When we examen the levels of dust emissions within today’s surroundings, we quantify this in terms of particulate matter, usually abridged to merely PM. Particulates are tiny subdivisions of hard matter hovering in the air. If you might imagine the finest dust may possibly have began as a large bolder. This dust ultimately reaches an elevated level in our atmosphere at which point it develops a layer of dust insulation. May it be that our lack of dust control has amplified the levels of dust in the atmosphere to the point that it has caused a rise in the earth’s warmth?
when we look back in the past it is easy to realize that mankind had a lower influence on the environment with a lesser population. There were fewer cars, building sites, roads and all together a lesser amount of activity to produce fugitive dust. There was not as much agricultural or tilling of the top soil but as the population increased the requirements of man followed and as a result did the dust.
We look way back at these actions and realize man has definitely amplified the levels of dust pollution as a result of their activities. But we have to also understand that man has as well aided in decreased levels of dust through innovation.
In the past a lot of the paths that we traveled were made from the most accessible matter in the general area. It was not exceptional to find a stretch of street consisting of no more than earth. The roads are still widespread in our day but today we utilize environmentally safe dust control products to cut down the dust generated whilst driving on these roads.
In the earlier times there were usual prairie and woodland fires that generated fugitive dust from the burning trees, brush and grassland. Not only would the dust levels escalate from the burnt vegetation, but the newly burnt terrain would now without difficulty release dust particles into the atmosphere with a minimal shift in the winds. Several of the fires began from a single well positioned lightning strike in an uninhabited area. These fires were left to burn due to the lack of assets to battle such fires and on occasion the lack of citizens to report it. Now these fires are quickly attacked and brought under control.
These improvements can only be credited to the progression of man and have in reality lowered the levels of dust the air. In lots of places road dust control has enhanced the roads to the point that one can hardly tell if the road is concrete or soil.
After considering the odds that man made dust is attributing to climate change I have come to the deduction that if anything, man has helped bring down the levels of dust not increased it. I hope this clears the air on this topic. I guess we will merely have to blame climate change on sun spots.
Why Fresh And Uncontaminated Water Is Crucial To Our Surviving On This Planet

We can live for a while with no food but for sure we won’t survive in the slightest degree with no water. Living without water is merely not possible. Just imagine a world without it, all the fauna and flora would be dead, all would be a wilderness without plant life, natural world or people.
But having water isn’t sufficient. What we really require to survive is for it to be pure, clean and cool. The ocean water covers approximately seventy% of the Earth territory, however we can’t consume that without initially cleaning it. It’s salty and drinking saline liquid can simply destroy us. This is often why making certain that it’s at all times fresh and cool is vital to our survival.
If it is unclean, if it is unhygienic, we end up with all types of diseases that kill people. There are around 4000 youngsters dying each day from not having it clean, and unfortunately over a billion people still don’t have access to proper consumption sources. This is why scientists are relentlessly working on discovering numerous techniques that enable unsoiled water to be out there for very inexpensive so that each individual gets access to it, no matter wherever they exist.
Scientists have tried over the years varied purification techniques and some are a hit, some are a miss. Or some are smart but darn costly. This is often why not everyone can afford it. Right now the most cost effective technique is simply boiling it, but still it is not 100% dependable as there are still some impurities and chemicals left behind that are harmful for all of us.
One more method to clean it is by using chlorine, and others, reverse osmosis, filtration and distillation. Seemingly these days filtration is considered among one of the most effective techniques around. Reverse osmosis may be a very familiar technique of cleaning the ocean water from salt and different impurities at the moment.
When you utilize reverse osmosis techniques you’ll see that your drink tastes a lot better than the non-purified one. Many people are using it in their homes by having it installed. This method you’ll be able to be safe to use the water for drinking, taking showers with food preparation with it. It’s important to understand nevertheless that this technique wants a further step afterwards, that is adding chlorine to create it actually clean.
Reverse osmosis is also utilized in the process of washing cars in the ultimate rinse cycle since this purified water will leave no marks or spots on the vehicle.
